This is a Multi-Platform, Cross Media Documentary about Bobbie Jones: a well travelled artist, lecturer, wife and transwoman.

The Video Documentary focusses mainly on Bobbie’s art as a narrative. Throughout the 10 minute piece we get to know her personality through creative expression and personal experiences in Papua New Guinea.

The interactive installation art piece is the concluding, reflective segment of a cross media documentary which unfolds the emotions and life of Bobbie Jones, a transgender artist and teacher.

The Cocoon:

The Cocoon is a sound environment which captures the inner thoughts of Bobbie. Recordings constructed from edited interviews allow the participant to be given an insight into her past, escaping her true feelings and the actions she then chose to finally break free and transform.

Interactive Video:

A spacial montaging piece allows the user to interact via a wireless mouse to explore and unfold Bobbie’s artwork, video interview and archive footage from Papau New Guinea where she went to teach art in high schools. Themes allow the footage to co-exist and complement aside each other using roll over.
